"Since we were brought up in different religions (he was raised Baptist, I was raised Catholic), it was difficult to find a church we were both comfortable with. Cornerstone made us both feel comfortable, and we decided to make it our home church." C. Logue

The Cornerstone Story

Our sanctuary prior to 2006.

Cornerstone began on February 2, 1992 at Margarita Middle School in Temecula. It was an exciting and scary time. Five families moved to the Temecula Valley to help start the church. We didn't know a single person that was going to show up that day.

We met for several weeks to practice having "church," then sent out advertising in the community and prayed someone would show up. Over 300 people showed up that day. About 200 were there the 2nd Sunday and that is what the church averaged the first couple of years.

We spent about a year meeting at Margarita Middle School and then moved to a storefront building on South Front Street in Temecula. We eventually acquired our current property located at 34570 Monte Vista Drive in Wildomar where we have been meeting since.

Cornerstone was founded on the assumption that God is not limited by what type of building you had church in. We believe you can hold church in a school, a warehouse, a movie theatre, or even a regular church building. Cornerstone has never been about buildings; it's about people.

In 2005 Cornerstone completed our newest sanctuary. This facility allows us to seat 1100 members each service and is equipped with state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment. This technology allows us to produce a service driven by excellence, love and commitment.

We would love to have you join us this weekend and become part of the Cornerstone family. For more information, please call 951-674-8661.
